Company description
SAF-AGA Renewable Energy Limited is one of the first Renewable Energy Service Companies (RESCOs) instituted by the Rural Electrification Agency in Nigeria, delivering large-scale solar minigrids and productive use energy (PUE)solutions to rural and underserved communities and businesses across the country. We design, deploy and operate solar solutions that provide reliable, affordable electricity while enabling income generation for these agricultural communities through our PUEs systems.
With over 746 kW of installed capacity, 720+ connections, and 15 PUE systems deployed, we have impacted more than 5000 lives while avoiding 2500 t of CO2 emissions. Our scalable Energy-as-a-service model combines tariff-based electricity sales and equipment leasing to ensure long-term sustainability.
We are currently building a 1.4MW of minigrid portfolio and have a target of 10MW by 2030, to drive economic growth, climate impact and energy access in Nigeria

Project pitch
SAF-AGA Renewable Energy Limited is developing an integrated portfolio of solar hybrid mini-grids and productive-use energy (PUE) assets in Nigeria with a focus on the Niger Delta, targeting Delta State (PUE deployment) and Bayelsa State (mini-grid electrification).
Phase 1 includes the deployment of 7 mini-grid sites and 259 PUE assets, including cold storage systems and agro-processing equipment such as milling machines. The project is designed to address both energy access and demand stimulation by linking a reliable electricity supply with income-generating activities for households and small businesses.
We are seeking €856,000 in equity to finance the first phase of mini-grid development, alongside €4.5 million in debt financing for large-scale PUE deployment. The model combines tariff-based electricity sales, equipment leasing, and power purchase agreements to generate stable and diversified revenue streams.
The project builds on SAF-AGA’s existing operational track record, with installed capacity, active customer connections, and deployed PUE systems demonstrating technical and commercial viability.
This investment provides exposure to a scalable distributed energy platform with strong unit economics, clear expansion potential, and measurable development impact, including increased rural productivity, job creation, and emissions reduction. We are open to equity investment, debt partnerships, and technical collaboration to accelerate execution.
