Company description
Durandel is a pioneering regenerative infrastructure company architecting the foundational systems for humanity’s next economic civilization.
Founded and led by visionary entrepreneur Jude Onemolease, Durandel is the strategic forge and parent entity behind UMEI® (Universal Market Ecosystem Infrastructure) — the world’s first regenerative market cloud and operating system for planetary shared abundance.
The company designs intelligent, circular economic infrastructure that replaces extractive linear models with systems rooted in abundance circulation, universal inclusion, and ecological restoration. By integrating blockchain-verified trust, agentic AI orchestration, tokenized co-ownership, and Africa’s ancient regenerative wisdom—circulation, inclusivity, and intergenerational stewardship—Durandel builds markets that heal rather than deplete.
Durandel’s mission is to bridge informal and formal economies, unlock trapped capital, and enable dignified participation for billions. Through UMEI®, it positions Africa as the strategic beachhead for the post-extractive global economy.
Tagline: Scaling Prosperity Everywhere.

Project pitch
UMEI® (Universal Market Ecosystem Infrastructure) is the world’s first sovereign regenerative market cloud, purpose-built from Africa to replace scarcity engineering with abundance circulation as the default economic operating system of the 21st century and beyond.
By embedding the Doctrine of Regenerative Ultrastructure and the Laws of Regenerative Economics into a sophisticated, layered sovereign infrastructure stack, UMEI® transforms conventional transport, trade, and value-chain corridors into living regenerative ecosystems.
In these ecosystems, value is not extracted and exported but is created, retained, circulated, and compounded locally—generating measurable regenerative surplus across multiple forms of capital, including human, ecological, social, relational, and cultural capital, while delivering tangible benefits to communities, smallholders, enterprises, and nations.
At its core, UMEI® addresses Africa’s structural peripheralization. Despite holding 30% of global critical minerals, 60% of the world’s uncultivated arable land, and a workforce where over 70% are engaged in agriculture and related sectors, Africa continues to capture a disproportionately low share of global value chains.
UMEI® seeks to break this cycle by sovereignizing market infrastructure itself, making regeneration protocol-native, agency distributed, and stewardship intergenerational.
Investment Ask
Durandel Limited, the special-purpose vehicle advancing UMEI®, is seeking €185 million in blended finance, impact equity, green and sustainability-linked instruments, and catalytic capital. The funding is structured across three phased tranches from 2026 to 2029.
The capital will support:
- Development and deployment of the sovereign technology stack
- Initial corridor pilots along the Abidjan–Lagos corridor
- Multi-country scale-up initiatives
- Establishment of the Regenerative Surplus Dividend Mechanism
This represents an opportunity to co-own and co-architect a foundational market operating system for the post-extractive era—one designed to make regeneration profitable, scalable, and self-reinforcing.
By supporting UMEI®, investors can help transform Africa’s economic corridors into global showcases of regenerative prosperity while pursuing both financial returns and long-term developmental impact.
