National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI)

Company description

The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) is an agency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria established to spearhead Nigeria’s industrial self-reliance by developing robust science and engineering frameworks. Operating through 12 specialized Development Institutes, the agency addresses critical technological gaps by tailoring research to regional economic needs.

A cornerstone of this mission is the NASENI Innovation Hub, a strategic ecosystem built to empower homegrown startups and entrepreneurs. By providing essential infrastructure, technical mentorship, and funding resources, the Hub transforms raw concepts into commercialized, market-ready technologies.

NASENI acts as a catalyst for national industrialization. It bridges the divide between academic research and industrial application, fostering a competitive environment where Nigerian-made innovations drive economic productivity and sustainable growth. Through this integrated approach, the agency ensures that Nigeria doesn’t just consume technology but actively creates it.
