Company description
PROSPA SAHEL LIMITED is a Nigerian agribusiness and deep-earth resources company headquartered in Abuja, focused on building resilient agricultural value chains across West Africa.
Our Livestock Feed & Forage Division is a greenfield commercial venture developing large-scale forage cultivation and animal nutrition production hubs in Abuja and Zaria. The business will cultivate high-yield forage crops including Digitaria, Brachiaria, and Super Napier grass for commercial hay and silage bale production targeting dairy farms, feedlots, pastoralists, ranches, and livestock cooperatives.
We will also manufacture scientifically formulated feed concentrates and ration mixes using maize, soybean meal, cottonseed meal, sorghum, minerals, salts, and other essential livestock nutrition inputs.
Our mission is to improve livestock productivity, reduce dry-season feed shortages, support climate-resilient ranching, and strengthen Nigeria’s food security through locally produced, scalable, high-quality feed solutions.

Project pitch
PROSPA SAHEL is developing a commercial-scale livestock feed and forage production ecosystem in Abuja and Zaria to address one of Africa’s largest agricultural gaps: year-round access to affordable, high-quality livestock feed.
Nigeria loses significant livestock productivity annually due to dry-season forage shortages, poor-quality feed, rising input costs, and dependence on fragmented supply chains. Our project aims to industrialize forage and feed production using climate-smart cultivation, mechanized harvesting, silage systems, and modern feed formulation.
The venture will cultivate high-yield forage crops including Digitaria, Brachiaria, and Super Napier grass for conversion into premium hay and silage bales for cattle, sheep, and dairy operations. In parallel, we will establish a feed concentrate production line manufacturing scientifically balanced ration mixes using maize, soybean meal, cottonseed meal, sorghum, minerals, and nutritional additives.
We are seeking strategic investment, technical partnerships, equipment suppliers, and long-term off-take partners to scale production capacity and build one of Nigeria’s leading integrated forage and livestock nutrition businesses.
The project aligns strongly with Nigeria’s livestock modernization agenda, food security goals, climate-resilient agriculture, and regional agricultural trade opportunities under AfCFTA. Our long-term vision is to become a leading supplier of commercial forage, silage, and livestock feed solutions across West Africa while supporting pastoral transition, ranch development, dairy expansion, and sustainable livestock productivity.
