Adedoyin Odunfa

Adedoyin Odunfa is an IT professional with almost 30 years in professional practice, focused on enhancing the strategic value of IT in organisations through value-adding interventions across the information value chain. She has led industry initiatives to strengthen and enhance IT Governance, Risk and Compliance processes, practices, and skill sets to significantly impact business and institutional performance. Over the years, she has gained deep competencies in business management, strategic business/IT alignment, information/cyber security, IT governance, data protection, risk management, project management, and e-business.

Adedoyin is the Founder, MD/CEO of Digital Jewels Africa Ltd, a leading IT GRC Consulting and Capacity Building Firm with a footprint across 15 African countries and an enviable track record of consistent high-value delivery. Digital Jewels Africa is today the only Professional Services Firm in Africa to be certified to ISO27001:2013 (global Information Security Management System Standard) and ISO9001:2015 (Global Quality Management System Standard) as well as being a Qualified Security Assessor for the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCIDSS QSA).

Over the last three decades, Adedoyin has been privileged to guide and support numerous public and private sector institutions to derive optimal value from IT whilst managing inherent risks and ensuring compliance with regulation and global best practices through her deep insight of IT at a strategic, operational, and tactical level, skilled stakeholder engagement, and objectivity alongside her ability to connect the dots and demystify IT. Her previous experience encompasses software design and development, research and consulting in ICT, business strategy, project management, process improvement, and extensive capacity building at organisations such as the Lagos Business School and Phillips Consulting, where she resigned as Executive Director in charge of the Information Systems and e-business Practice in 2008 to start up Digital Jewels.

As an erudite speaker, trainer, and IT GRC expert, Adedoyin has championed several industry-wide initiatives, occupied notable African and global platforms, providing subject matter expertise, moderating panels, and giving keynotes. She is a recognised leader in the IT industry and has several notable credentials to her name, being Certified in the Enterprise Governance of IT (CGEIT); as an Information Systems Auditor (CISA); an Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP); and a Project Management Professional (PMP) amongst others. Adedoyin holds a B.Sc. (Combined Honours) in Computer Science and Economics from the Obafemi Awolowo University and an MBA (Information Technology & Management) from the City University Business School (now CASS Business School) in the UK.

In all her endeavours, Adedoyin brings to bear the wealth of her experience in the corporate world, classroom, war room, and boardroom. Adedoyin sits on a number of boards, is a winner of the CyberSecurity Woman Entrepreneur Award, and was recently listed among the top 100 Most Inspiring Women in Nigeria (2023), top 100 Most Inspirational Women in Nigeria (2021), top 50 Women in Cybersecurity in Africa (2020), and top 20 FINTECH Women in Nigeria (2019).
